Churchill Class (Year 4) 
Welcome to Churchill Class' webpage! There are 7 children in our class. We are named after Kent-born Winston Churchill, arguably our most famous Prime Minister.

This term we are learning all about the Olympics. We have been looking at the history of the Olympics and how it originated in Greece.We made a fact file all about the Greece using our prior knowledge and also by researching using the internet.

We had great fun learning about all the sports that are playing a part in the London 2012 Olympic and paralympic games. We designed our own sports that we hope one day will also become an Olympic sport.

We have also designed our own Olympic torch, logo and mascots. We all enjoyed using the internet to find one mascot that has appeared in an Olympics prior to London 2012. We built up a page of information about the mascot and why it was used in its Olympic that its connected to.
